What you need:
  • A round paper lantern
  • A plastic strawberry basket
  • Four pieces of 8-inch plastic string
  • Thin ribbon
  • Stickers or foam letters

What you do:

  1. Weave the thin ribbon into the strawberry basket. This makes the basket for the hot air balloon.
  2. Tie one piece of plastic string to each corner of the basket. Gather the strings and tie them one by one to the lantern's metal bar.
  3. Add stickers and foam letters to the lantern. You can decorate your balloon and make it look as fancy as you like.
 
 
If you don't have any round paper lanterns, you can always use a balloon for this craft. Just keep it away from small kids!
