The Newz, Contests and KinzPost
- Can I write for the Newz?
- While you cannot write for the Newz, you CAN enter one of our writing contests. To see if a writing contest is open, please check the "Contest" page in the Newz. Sometimes we have poetry contests, sometimes we have story contests; the best part is, if you win you will receive a trophy and 500 KinzCash!
- When does the new edition come out?
- We change the Newz every few days, so keep coming back to see all the latest greatest happenings in Webkinz World!
- What is KinzPost?
- When you receive KinzPost mail, you will see a white envelope appear on the lower left corner of the screen when you enter your pet's room. Just click on the envelope and you will see the message. When you close the letter, it will disappear.
KinzPost is where you can go to send a postcard to an email address. You can also send a gift or a note to a friend on Webkinz World. You can find KinzPost it by clicking on the Things to Do menu.
- How do I get on the High Score list?
- Getting on the high score list can be tough sometimes. But guess what? Every month the magic scoreboard fairy comes along and clears off all the monthly high scores, so everyone has another chance to see their name up in lights.
- I got a Tournament Arena high score, but I'm not on the Scores and Achievements high score page!
- We update the Tournament Arena scores every night at midnight. If you have a high score in the Tournament Arena, you will see it on the 'Scores and Achievements' page tomorrow.
- I was on the Great Plays list... now I'm not. What happened?
- Since people are always making great plays, their names are constantly being added to the 'Great Plays' list. This means that new names are always replacing old ones (the older great plays move toward the bottom of the list, and the newer ones appear at the top). Eventually, your name will disappear from this list, when enough new great plays are added. If you want to get back onto this list, you just need to make another great play!
- Scores and Achievements page - what's it all about?
- The Scores and Achievements page is a page in the Newz that shows all the great scores from all the fantastic games in Webkinz World. Check out this page to see the top tournament players, the high scorers in the arcade, and the trivia experts. Check out the 'My Scores' page to find out all about how many times you have played each game, what your average game score is, and what your highest score in a particular game was. This page contains all the game info you need!
- How do I enter a contest?
- To enter a contest, visit the "Contest" page in the Webkinz Newz. You will either see a box where you type in your entry (if it is a writing contest), or a drop down menu of your rooms (if it is a design contest). There are instructions on the Contest page about what kind of entries we are looking for. Please read the instructions and then submit your entry.
- When are the winners announced?
- All of our contests are VERY popular and some take longer to judge than others. Rest assured, the winners will be announced as soon as we have determined them!
- When is the next contest?
- Our contest schedule varies quite a bit, so the best thing is to keep checking the Contest page in the Webkinz Newz to see when the next contest is up.
- How do I send things through KinzPost?
- Click "KinzPost" in the "Things to Do" menu and choose one of two things to do; you can send a note or send a gift. If you send a note, you will get to choose a message to send a friend on your friends list. If you send a gift, you will be able to choose up to three items to send to a friend on your friends list. Please note that you can only send one gift per day to each friend on your friend’s list. Gifts and notes are received by your friend when they log into Webkinz World. Read the instructions for more information.
- How do I open a gift or note?
- When you receive a gift or note, you will see the KinzPost letter symbol appear in your room. Just click on it to open it. If you received a gift, you will see the envelope open and it will display a piece of paper with a picture of a gift on it. Click on the gift to open it. The items you received will appear in your dock. If you received a note, the envelope will open and you will be able to read it.
- Why does it cost KinzCash to send notes and gifts?
- It costs KinzCash to keep the post office running! We need to pay our delivery Webkinz, so we need to earn KinzCash from the shipping of notes and gifts.
