Yarn Ball Sofa

- 2 Balls of yarn
- 2 knitting needles
- Small container of white play dough
- Bright red acrylic paint
- Chrome spray paint
- Paint brush
- 12” x 8” piece of cardboard
- 2 Small plastic drinking cups
- 1 sheet newspaper
What you do:
- Take two small balls of play dough and mould around the head of knitting needles.
- Paint a fine red line around the outside edge of play dough for each needle. Add a W in each circle. Place aside and allow to dry.
- Place 2 plastic drinking cups upside down on a sheet of newspaper. Spray a light coat of chrome spray paint until the cups are covered. Place aside and allow to dry completely.
- Take 1 ball of yarn and wind around the piece of cardboard. Save approximately 4 feet of yarn for later use.
- Slide wound yarn off the cardboard being careful to keep the open loops together.
- Take the saved piece of yarn and wind perpendicular to the wound yarn, Tie a knot. Set aside. This will form the “seat” of the sofa.
- Take the 2nd ball of yarn and flatten. This will form the “back” of the sofa.
- Place the “seat: and the “back” together on a flat surface forming a sofa.
- Take the knitting needles and poke through in an X-pattern into the back of the sofa.
- Place dried painted cups on the sofa to form the arms with the open ends facing into the sofa.
