The Clubhouse is a fun and safe area for your child to chat with their old friends and make new ones! The Clubhouse is a wonderful place for Webkinz World members to discuss recipes, rare items, games, and other things happening in Webkinz World.

Our Clubhouse has two separate areas to play in - a KinzChat area, and a KinzChat PLUS area.

The KinzChat area of the Clubhouse uses our acclaimed KinzChat system to allow our members to chat with each other (KinzChat is the same system members currently use in their rooms, when having friends over to visit). When using KinzChat, members select pre-constructed messages from chat menus. Members CANNOT type in their own messages. KinzChat is a very safe way to chat, especially for our younger members. Members do not need permission to visit this area.

In the KinzChat PLUS area, messages are limited to words from our restricted dictionary, which excludes all numbers, proper names, place names, and any sort of inappropriate language. If a member tries to use a word that is not in the dictionary, the word will turn red, and the member will not be able to send the message. Also, if words are misspelled, they cannot be sent with KinzChat PLUS.

Every word that is typed in must be from our restricted KinzChat PLUS dictionary and correctly spelled. If the word is not there or incorrect it will appear in red and the sentence cannot be sent. Here are two examples:

I'm going to punch you!
I live at 503 Windermere. Call me!

Note the words in red. We don't allow these words, and we don't allow numbers or number words. Neither of these sentences could be sent.

To enter the KinzChat PLUS area, most members need parental permission.

If your child requests access to the KinzChat PLUS area, you will receive an email from your Webkinz requesting your consent.

When you receive the email, click on the Accept link to allow your child into the KinzChat PLUS area. If you would rather not allow your child to play in the KinzChat PLUS area, click on the Decline link, or simply ignore the email.

If you have decided that KinzChat PLUS is definitely not for your child, you can use our Parent Account feature to block your child's access to KinzChat PLUS.

Clubhouse Reporting Button If you or your child ever sees another member acting or speaking in an inappropriate manner, you can report it to us by using the shield-shaped 'reporting button' located in each Clubhouse room. We will investigate every report and if we find a problem, we will deal with the member who caused it. We encourage children to report negative behavior in the KinzChat PLUS area and we remove access for children who do not behave appropriately.

We encourage you to watch your child play in the Clubhouse. We want you to feel confident that your child will have a safe and enjoyable time playing with their old friends and making new ones!
